Uotaji Woods is an area of woodland marking part of the northern edge of the Drylands.
Appearance[]
Despite the scarcity of the plants around it, the trees that make up the Uotaji Woods grow close together. They have tall boles and thick roots, many of them thick at the base but bifurcating into two narrower trunks. The leaves of the trees are small, but there are a very large amount on each plant. Ferns and tussocks of grass grow around each tree, and a few have rocks piled around their roots. The rest of the ground is covered by short, lush, light green grass. There are a few winding dirt paths that lead deep into the forest; these trails often bear the marks of animal paws, hooves, and talons.
Inhabitants[]
Many animals call the Uotaji Woods home, but the area is very well known for its huge and never-diminishing bird population. Birds of all different species have made homes in this green forest, since it is well known for being an ideal place to raise young. Besides birds, a small herd of kéwel and a great many insects thrive beneath the forest canopy. Other animals, such as reptiles(especially arboreal snakes), rodents, and fish, can also be found.
