It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
Kion and Vitani were spending time together at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
”How was the hunt?” Kion asked.
”It was fine.” Vitani answered.
She bent her head, and rubbed her muzzle against Kion’s.
"I love you, Tani" Kion said.
Vitani rubbed a paw against his cheek affectionally.
"I love you too." She purred.
”I need to ask you something.” Kion said.
”What is it?” Vitani prompted.
"Are you proud of me?" Kion asked.
Vitani nodded.
"Of course I am" she said warmly.
Kion stretched his neck, and nuzzled Vitani's cheek.
"How was your patrol?" Vitani asked.
"It was fine. Fuli wants to come over later to see Mari" Kion answered.
Vitani's expression softened.
"That's fine with me, Mari will love to see her" she said.
Meanwhile, Kovu and Kiara had met up at Hapuna Valley.
They were settled down underneath a baobab tree.
"I love you, Kovu." Kiara said quietly.
"I love you" Kovu answered.
He rubbed his muzzle against her cheek.
"I'm so proud of Belee and Kia" Kiara continued.
"I am too" Kovu said.
Kiara stood up.
"Can we go home?" She asked.
Kovu nodded.
He stood up, and curled his tail around Kiara's shoulders.
They began to make their way to Pride Rock.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had ventured to Kora and Vitani's cave to spend time with Mari.
They were settled down amongst the moss.
"Nana, Belee told me she caught a thrush today" Mari said.
Nala nodded.
"That's right" she said.
"Why can't I learn how to hunt?" Mari asked.
Simba and Nala exchanged a glance.
"Honey, I've already told you, you're not old enough" Nala said patiently.
Marigold mewled crossly, and nestled closer to Simba's pelt.
