It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Hapuna Valley.
"Why hasn't there been trouble?" Bunga asked.
Kion and Fuli exchanged a glance.
"That's a good question, Bunga" Kion said.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"All clear" Ono said.
"Thanks Ono" Fuli said warmly.
Meanwhile, Simba and Sarabi had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt, Mom?" Simba asked.
"It was fine. How was the patrol?" Sarabi said.
"It was fine. Kovu and I discussed the upcoming summit" Simba answered.
Sarabi rubbed a paw against his cheek.
"Nala told me you invited Makuu" she said.
"I need to build and earn his trust" he said.
"You're so much like your father" Sarabi said.
Simba's expression softened.
"Thank you, Mom. I'm grateful for your devotion" he said.
"Darling. I love you" Sarabi said warmly.
"I love you too" Simba purred.
Meanwhile, Belee and Denahi had met up inside the den.
They were settled down amongst the moss.
"Did you join the hunt today?" Denahi asked.
Belee shook her head.
"Kula and Mom wanted me to keep Zuri company" she said.
"How is Zuri today?" Denahi asked.
"She's still grieving" she said.
"I wish we could help" Denahi said.
"We can. Mom says we have to be supportive and loving." Belee said.
Denahi stood up.
"Let's go home and spend time with her" he said.
Belee nodded, and stood up.
She and Denahi headed back to Pride Rock.
Meanwhile, Nita had ventured to Rafiki's Tree.
She was helping him count juniper berries.
"Will you attend the Savannah Summit?" She asked.
"I'm required to attend" he said.
"I wish I could. Kion gets too" she said.
"Kion's a new leader" Rafiki said gently.
