It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Hapuna Valley.
"Has Mari met Midnight?" Fuli asked.
Kion shook his head.
"She's not old enough" he answered.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a second later and settled down on Beshte's back.
"What'd you see?" Bunga asked.
"Everything's all clear" Ono said.
Kion and Beshte exchanged a glance.
"Let's end this patrol" Kion said.
He bade goodbye to his friends and headed back to Pride Rock.
Meanwhile, Kovu had met up with Belee and Denahi at the Meadow.
They were settled underneath the baobab tree.
"Why are you and Kion so close?" Denahi asked.
"Because I love him" Kovu answered.
"Does he need you?" Denahi asked.
Kovu nodded.
"More then we do?" Belee asked.
"Maybe" Kovu said.
He blinked affectionately at Belee and a purr rose in his throat.
"Let's play Baobab Ball, Dad" Denahi said.
"Okay" Kovu said.
Denahi went to fetch the baobab ball.
"Can I visit Ameba later?" Belee asked.
Kovu nodded.
"If it's okay with her parents" he said.
"Come on, Dad" Denahi called.
Kovu chuckled.
He led Belee over to Denahi.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up with Marigold in her cave.
They were settled down amongst the moss.
"I want to meet Yeh-Yeh and Grandma Uru" Mari said.
"Rafiki will take you soon" Simba promised.
Marigold mewled and snuggled closer to Nala's side.
Simba and Nala exchanged a fond glance.
"How'd the hunt go?" Simba asked.
Nala pressed her muzzle against Simba's cheek.
"It went fine" she said warmly.
"Did Kata join?" Simba asked.
Nala nodded.
"I had to drag her out of the den" Nala said.
Simba chucked.
"What about Maya?" He asked.
Nala shook her head.
"She stayed in the den" and answered.
"Let's go find Vitani" Simba said.
He stood up and bent to grasp Mari's scruff.
"Okay" Nala agreed.
