It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling the Flood Plains.
"How's Ameba?" Bunga asked.
"She's fine." Fuli answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
“Mzingo’s Parliament is attacking Matembo.” Ono said.
Kion and Fuli exchanged a glance.
“Where are they?” Fuli asked.
“They’re at Lake Kizwia.” Ono answered.
“Let’s go, Lion Guard.” Kion said.
He led the way to Lake Kizwia.
When they arrived, Kion bounded forward.
“Leave her alone, Mzingo.” He said.
Mzingo chuckled.
“It’s already been voted upon.” He said.
Kion glanced at Fuli.
Fuli nodded, and moved forward.
She led Matembo towards Beshte.
Kion unsheathed his claws, and sank them into the earth underneath him.
He braced himself, and performed the Roar.
It sent Mzingo’s Committee toppling backwards.
Kion watched them fly towards the border.
He glanced at Matembo.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
Matembo nodded.
“Thank you, Lion Guard.” She said.
“You’re welcome.” Fuli answered.
Kion moved forward, and pressed his muzzle against Matembo’s foreleg.
“I love you.” Kion said quietly.
Matembo’s expression softened.
She knelt down, and pressed her cheek against Kion’s.
“I love you too.” She said.
