It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Hapuna Valley.
"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
"She's fine" Kion said.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear" Ono said.
"Thanks Ono." Kion said.
He turned to Fuli.
"Want to visit Mari?" He asked.
Instantly, Fuli's expression brightened.
"Absolutely" she said warmly.
Bunga tapped Kion's shoulder.
"If you see my uncles or Grandma, tell them I'm at Big Springs until dusk" he said.
He and Fuli bade goodbye to their friends, and headed for Pride Rock.
When they reached Pride Rock, Mari rushed out to greet them.
Kion chuckled as Mari bounded forward and bowled Fuli over.
"I think she missed you" he said warmly.
Fuli stood up, and rubbed a paw against the top of Mari's head.
"Hello, sweetheart" she said warmly.
"Hi Fuli. How're you?" Mari answered.
"I'm fine, how are you?" Fuli said.
"I'm fine. I really missed you" Mari said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"Hi Mari" he said.
He bent down, and nuzzled Mari's cheek.
"Hi Kion" Mari said.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at Ndefu Grove.
They were settled underneath a baobab tree.
"I love you so much." Simba said quietly.
"I love you too" Nala said.
She pressed her muzzle against Simba's.
"I don't know if I've ever thanked you" Simba continued.
"For what?" Nala asked gently.
"For all of the support and devotion that you've given me since my accession" Simba said.
Instantly, Nala's expression softened.
"You don't need to thank me." She said softly.
