It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
Kion and his friends were spending time together at the Meadow.
"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
"She's fine. Nita's been bringing her to Rafiki's" Kion answered.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"What'd you see?" Beshte asked.
"Everything is all clear" Ono reported.
Beshte and Fuli exchanged a glance.
"What's wrong, Kion?" Fuli asked gently.
"I want to talk to Grandpa" Kion said.
Fuli brushed her muzzle against Kion's cheek.
"Go ahead" she said softly.
"Would you like some privacy?" Beshte asked.
Kion shook his head.
He sighed, and glanced up.
"Grandpa, I want to talk to you" he called.
He shivered ad Mufasa's spirit embraced him.
Fuli, Beshte, Ono, and Bunga stepped back.
"Hello, Kion" Mufasa said.
"Grandpa, I miss you" Kion said.
"I miss you, Kion" Mufasa said.
He glanced behind him.
Fuli nodded, and padded up to sit beside him.
"What's troubling you?" Mufasa asked gently.
"I'm fine, Grandpa, I love you" Kion answered.
"I love you too. I always will" Mufasa said.
Fuli pressed her muzzle against Kion's.
"Tell him about Mari" she suggested.
"Please, Kion" he said.
Kion's expression softened.
"She's growing bigger everyday" he said.
"She's met Midnight, hasn't she?" Mufasa asked.
"She hasn't stopped talking about her" he said.
