It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.

Kion and Kiara were spending time with Nala at the Meadow.

They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.

"Belee and Kia's skills are evolving" Kiara said.

Nala nodded.

"I know, I'm so proud of them" she said warmly.

"I'm sure the whole pride is" Kion said.

He nestled against Nala's flank.

"I love you, Mom" he said quietly.

"I love you both, I'm so proud of you" Nala said.

Kiara pressed her muzzle against Nala's cheek.

Meanwhile, Simba had ventured to Kora and Vitani's cave to spend time with Mari.

They were settled down amongst the moss.

"It's not fair, Papa" Mari said grumpily.

"What's not fair?" Simba asked gently.

"Nana won't let me learn about hunting" Mari said.

Simba sighed.

"Darling, you're not old enough to learn about it. But I promise you will" he said patiently.

"Belee and Kia are learning about it" Mari pointed out.

"They're older then you" Simba said.

He rubbed his paw against Mari's cheek.

"Mari, would you like to join my patrol sometimes?" He asked.

Mari's expression brightened.

"With Uncle Kovu, Uncle Kopa, Chumvi, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, and Daddy, Papa?" she asked.

Simba nodded.

"I'll ask your parents about it" he promised.
