It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.

Kovu and Kion were spending time together at The Meadow.

They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.

"How was your patrol?" Kovu asked.

"It was fine" Kion answered.

He stretched his neck to nuzzle Kovu's cheek.

"I love you" Kion said.

"I love you too. If you ever need to talk, I'm here" Kovu said.

Meanwhile, Nita had ventured to Rafiki's tree.

She was helping him count juniper berries.

"Belee told me Zuri's sleeping better." Nita said.

"I'm very glad to hear that." Rafiki said.

Nita sighed.

"Mari asked Mom about Koda yesterday" she said.

"What did Vitani say?" Rafiki asked.

"She told her that the sun had set on Koda's  time with us, and Grandpa would take care of him" Nita said.

Rafiki moved forward, and pressed his muzzle to Nita's shoulder.

Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at Ukuni Woods.

They were settled underneath the baobab tree.

"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.

"It was fine. How was your patrol?" Nala answered.

"Fine. Chumvi stayed at Pride Rock to tend to Zuri" he said.

Nala nodded.

"I'm glad she's sleeping better" she said quietly.

Simba moved closer, and pressed his muzzle to Nala's.

"I love you, Nala" he said quietly.

"I love you too" Nala murmured.
