It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Ndefu Grove.
"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
"She's fine. Nada's been spending time with her" Kion said.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later and settled down on Beshte's back.
"All clear" Ono said.
"Thanks Ono" Fuli purred.
Kion pressed his muzzle against Fuli's cheek.
"I have to go" he said.
"Give Mari my love" she said.
Kion nodded, and bounded off.
When he reached the Meadow, he saw Simba waiting underneath the baobab tree.
Kion padded up to him excitingly.
He stretched to nuzzle Simba's cheek.
"Hi Dad" he said.
"Hi Kion" Simba said.
Kion settled down beside his father.
"I need to ask you something" Kion said.
"What is it?" Simba asked.
"Do you still have faith in me?" Kion asked.
Instantly, Simba's expression softened.
He nudged Kion's cheek affectionally.
"Yes, I always have and I always will. I love you, Kion. I'm so proud of you" he said.
"Really?" Kion asked.
"You have never let me down" he purred.
"I love you Dad. I'm really proud to be your son" Kion said.
Simba rubbed a paw against Kion's cheek.
Meanwhile, Kenai and Kia had met up with Bemba inside the den.
They were settled down amongst the moss.
"I love you, Grandma" Kia said.
Bemba purred, and rubbed her muzzle against Kia's cheek.
"I love you too" she said.
Kenai pressed himself against Bemba's pelt.
"Are you proud of us?" He asked.
"I'm proud of all of you" she said.
