It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Hapuna Valley.
"How's Maple?" Bunga asked.
"She's fine." Fuli answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono." Bunga said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"I have to go. Kovu wants to see me." Kion said.
Fuli nodded.
"Have a good time." She said.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Kovu settled down outside the den.
Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Kovu's cheek.
"Hi Kovu." Kion said.
Kovu's expression softened.
"Hi Kion" Kovu said.
Kion crawled into Kovu's paws, and nestled against him.
Kovu rubbed a paw against Kion's cheek.
"Did you have a good patrol?" He asked.
Kion nodded.
He pressed himself against Kovu's pelt.
"I love you." Kion said.
"I love you too." Kovu purred.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.
"It was fine." Nala answered.
She leaned over, and nuzzled Simba’s cheek.
“Vitani’s speech was wonderful.” She said.
Simba nodded.
“I’m very proud of her.” He said warmly.
“I am too.” Nala said.
