It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Chakula Plains.
"How's Maple?" Kion asked.
"She's fine." Fuli answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono." Bunga said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"I have to go. Dwala wants to see me." He said.
Fuli nodded.
"Have a good time." Fuli said warmly.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Dwala settled down outside the den.
Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Dwala's cheek.
"Hi Dwala." Kion said.
Dwala's expression softened.
"Hi Kion" Dwala said.
Kion crawled into Dwala's paws, and nestled against her.
“How was the hunt?” He asked.
“It was fine.” Dwala answered.
Dwala rubbed a paw against Kion's cheek.
"Did you have a good patrol?” Dwala asked.
Kion nodded.
He pressed himself against Dwala's pelt.
"I need to ask you something." Kion said.
"What is it?" Dwala prompted.
"Do you still have faith in me?" Kion asked.
Dwala nodded.
"I always have, and I always will." She said.
"I love you, Dwala." Kion said.
"I love you too." Dwala purred.
Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.
She was helping him sort borage leaves.
"How's Makini?" Nita asked.
"She is fine." Rafiki answered.
