It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Pridelanders were heading to Mizimu Grove to celebrate Kupatana.
Kion and Kiara were walking together.
"Who's doing the contribution?" Kion asked.
"I'm not sure." Kiara answered.
When the Pridelanders arrived at Mizimu Grove, Kion and his family settled down on the ledge.
The Pridelanders and inhabitants of the kingdom arranged themselves below them.
Simba stepped forward.
"As the royal contribution, Vitani will now give a speech." He said.
Kion and Kiara exchanged a glance.
They watched Simba move aside, and Vitani step forward.
Vitani cleared her throat.
"Throughout my life, I have known about the importance of protecting those that are loved most." She said.
Her expression softened as she glanced at Nita and Mari.
"I have benefited from this lesson after the births of my daughters.” She said.
As the animals cheered, Simba stepped forward, and cleared his throat.
"I believe the celebration can begin." He said.
Rafiki stepped forward, and waved his staff.
The Pridelanders and animals of the kingdom watched the baobab flowers bloom.
Kion leaned against Kiara's foreleg.
"You didn't know, did you?" He asked.
Kiara shook her head.
"Tani didn't tell me." Kiara answered.
She watched Kora press his muzzle against Vitani's cheek.
“I’m proud of her.” Kion said.
Kiara’s expression softened.
“I am too.” She said.
