It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Chakula Plains.
“How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
"She's fine." Kion answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono." Beshte said.
Kion cleared his throat.
“I have to go. Dad wants to see me.” Kion said.
Fuli nodded.
“Have a good time.” Fuli said.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Simba settled down outside the den.
Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Simba’s cheek.
“Hi Dad.” Kion said.
Simba’s expression softened.
“Hi Kion.” Simba said warmly.
Kion crawled into Simba’s paws, and nestled against him.
“Did you have a good patrol?” Simba asked.
Kion nodded.
“I love you, Dad.” Kion said.
Simba rubbed a paw against Kion’s cheek.
“I love you too.” Simba said warmly.
He bent his head, and rubbed his muzzle against Kion’s.
Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.
She was helping him count juniper berries.
“How’s Makini?” Nita asked.
“She is fine.” Rafiki said.
Nita moved closer, and nestled against Rafiki’s side.
“I love you.” Nita said.
Radio pressed a palm against Nita’s cheek.
“I love you too, sweetheart.” Rafiki said.
