It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Kilio Valley.
"How's Ameba?" Kion asked.
"She's started her training." Fuli answered.
Kion nodded.
"I think Belee mentioned that." He said.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono." Bunga said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"Let's go to the Meadow." He said.
Fuli and Beshte exchanged a glance.
"Why Kion?" Beshte asked gently.
"I want to talk to Yeh-Yeh." Kion answered.
Fuli's expression softened.
She and Kion led the way to the Meadow.
When they arrived, they settled down underneath the baobab tree.
Kion glanced up.
"Yeh-Yeh, I want to talk to you!” He called.
He shivered as Ahadi's spirit embraced him.
"Hello, Kion." Ahadi said warmly.
Kion felt Fuli press herself against his side.
"I need to ask you something." Kion said.
"What is it?" Ahadi prompted.
"Are you proud of me?" Kion asked.
Ahadi's expression softened.
"Yes, I always have been." He answered.
"I love you, Yeh-Yeh." Kion said.
"I love you too." Ahadi purred.
Kion watched Ahadi's spirit fade away.
He felt Fuli rub her muzzle against his cheek.
"Are you okay?" Fuli asked.
Kion nodded.
"Do you want to visit Mari?" He asked.
Fuli nodded.
They bade goodbye to their friends, and headed towards Pride Rock.
When they arrived, Mari rushed to greet them.
"Hi!" Mari said brightly.
Fuli's expression softened.
She knelt down, and nuzzled Mari's cheek.
"Hi Mari.” She said.
Kion moved forward, and knelt to nuzzle Mari’s cheek.
"Are you having a good day?” He asked.
Marigold nodded.
“I’m glad you’re both here.” She said.
“We’re glad too.” Fuli said warmly.
Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.
She was helping him count juniper berries.
“How’s Makini?” Nita asked.
“She is fine.” Rafiki answered.
Nita moved closer, and nestled against Rafiki’s side.
Rafiki pressed a palm against her cheek.
