It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.

The Lion Guard was patrolling Chakula Plains.

"How's your family, Kion?" Fuli asked.

"Everyone's fine." Kion said.

Kion glanced at Ono.

Ono nodded, and took to the sky.

He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.

"It's all clear." Ono said.

"Thanks, Ono." Bunga said.

Kion cleared his throat.

"I want to talk to Grandpa." Kion said.

Fuli and Beshte exchanged a glance.

"Let's go to the Meadow." Fuli said.

She and Kion led the way to the Meadow.

When they arrived, they settled down underneath the baobab tree.

Kion glanced up.

"Grandpa, I want to talk to you!" Kion called.

He shivered as Mufasa's spirit embraced him.

"Yes, Kion. I'm here." Mufasa said warmly.

Kion felt Fuli move to stand beside him.

"I love you." Kion said.

Mufasa's expression softened.

"I love you too. I'm very proud to have you as my grandson." He answered.

"Thank you, Grandpa." Kion said.

He watched Mufasa's spirit fade away.

Kion felt Fuli press her muzzle against his cheek.

“Are you okay?” Fuli asked.

Kion nodded.

Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.

She was helping him count juniper berries.

"How's Makini?" Nita asked.

"She is fine." Rafiki answered.

Nita moved closer, and nestled against him.

“I love you.” Nita said.

Rafiki’s expression softened.

“I love you too.” he answered.
