It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was doing a patrol near Big Springs.
"Tell us about Mari" Fuli said.
Kion's expression softened.
"Mom's teaching her how to swim" he said.
"Is she any good?" Beshte asked.
"She's making good progress" he said.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"Everything's all clear" he said.
"Thanks, Ono." Fuli said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"I have to go. Kiara wants me to spend time with her at The Meadow" he said.
He bade goodbye to his friends, and bounded off.
When he reached the Meadow, Kion saw Kiara settled down near the Ndona River.
He padded forward, and stretched his neck to nuzzle Kiara's cheek.
"Hi Kiara" he said warmly.
Kiara’s expression softened.
”Hi Kion.” She said.
Kion crawled into Kiara’s paws, and nestled against her.
”Did the hunt go well?” He asked.
"How was your patrol?" Kiara asked.
"It was fine" Kion said.
Kiara rubbed a paw against Kion’s cheek.
"I love you" Kion said.
Kiara bent her head, and rasped her tongue over his ear.
"I love you too.“ Kiara said.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at Hapuna Valley.
They were settled down underneath a baobab tree.
"I love you" Simba said.
"I love you too. How was the patrol?" Nala asked.
"It was fine." Simba answered.
