Pichi is a female violet-backed starling that lives in the Uotaji Woods.
Pichi is a plump bird with a round head and a short neck. She has long, thin gray legs and claws of a much darker shade. Her upperparts are a soft brown, fading to chestnut-orange on her head and nape and soft fallow on her primaries, secondaries, and tertiaries. Her undertail coverts, tibial feathers, underbelly, and lower breast are white, speckled with brown. She has almond-shaped reddish orange eyes and a long, lightly curved, steely gray beak. Her small, slender eyebrows are fulvous.
Pichi is a hardworking bird who enjoys her comfort. She firmly believes that difficult work pays off, and never gives up until she has finished a task. She insists that the more work put into something, such as a nest, the more rewarding the result shall be. She is intelligent and likes to learn new things and hear stories about faraway places- part of the reason that she gets along so well with her mate, Plamu. She loves him a great deal and would do anything to protect him and their unhatched chick.
