As Timon was able to travel from his original home to the forest (see: Deirdre's story), it is implied that the forest is located in Africa. Though, it raises the question if it's actually a "forest" if that's the case.

The One-Scratch-and-Spotted-Field is mainly inhabited by meerkats. As these meerkats are living a whole different life than the meerkats at Timon's home, it appears that the One-Scratch-and-Spotted-Field was once similar to Hakuna Matata:
The forest has never been visited by common hunters, like lions and hyenas, but one day a vampiremeerkat named Cheekah moved in and started terrorizing the villagers. Afterwards her son, Damy, took over.
While Damy is the top cause of death, the forest is still inhabited, though the other animals tend to move farther away from Damy's house.
They mainly live in or under trees and rocks, which they transformed into houses as best they could.
Outside of the forest is a neverending field with dry high grass; this is where Damy's house is located. His house looks like a small rectangular, box-like castle.
Compared to the houses the meerkats live in, Damy's house is quite fancy, and has actual furniture. Considering his house was once his mother's, who was born and raised in the vampire world, it's not surprising.
- The name "One-Scratch-and-Spotted-Field" comes from the artist's mother, who once called a dirty, scratched DVD the "One-Scratch-and-Spotted-Field".
- Before Damy and Deirdre became an official duo, Damy's house was described to be on a floating island outside of the forest.
