Chifu is a male lion. He is the mate of Wimbo and the father of Ganda and Mshale.
Appearance []
Chifu is a large, light tan color, while his muzzle, paws, and underbelly being a lighter shade. His upper eye shades are darker than his main pelt, though his lower eye shades are lighter, and his eyebrows are thick and dark. Chifu bears a thick mane of light brown that extends down to his middle chest, the tip of his tail matching it in color. He also has olive-green eyes.
Personality[]
Chifu is a strict, unsmiling lion, and he takes his job as king very seriously. He cares very much for all his loved ones, especially his mate and his two sons. He listens to what the other animals want and tries to get everyone to agree on something.

The Pride Lands Games[]
Chifu attends the Pride Lands Games. When Okereke hurts Bunga in the wrestling competition, he and Wimbo, along with Simba and Nala, surround him. Furious, Chifu demands an answer, and after receiving additional information regarding his bad sportsmanship from Makuu, asks if this is all true. Okereke confirms this, and Simba disqualifies the Back Lands team, handing over further punishment to the Back Lands monarchy. Chifu allows Mshale to give out the punishment, and his son bars Okereke from leaving Mirihi Forest and taking part in Lion Guard duties for three days, effective as soon as the Nyuma Pride returns to the Back Lands.

A Wonderful Royal Summit[]
Chifu, Wimbo, Mshale, Ganda, and the Back Lands Lion Guard arrive in the Pride Lands for the Royal Summit. Simba and Nala greet them, with Simba stating that they're glad they came, hoping they'll enjoy their time here. Chifu replies that he and Wimbo are pleased to attend the summit. After finishing their discussion with the Back Lands rulers, Simba and Nala move to greet Dhahabu's Herd. When Kuro and his herd unexpectedly arrive at the summit, Chifu asks what the impalas' kingdom, the Dusty Plain, is like. After Simba begins the summit by stating that they must discuss the onset of the dry season, Chifu remarks that it's a serious matter and that they must help each other through it. Upon Kabila and Tiifu's mention of the dangers dry lightning poses, Chifu agrees with them and offers shelter in Mirihi Forest for any refugees.

Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]
As part of the Back Lands delegation, Chifu arrives in the Pride Lands in order to hear urgent news from Simba, who wishes to have them escorted to Pride Rock. Kion and the Lion Guard take them to Pride Rock, and Simba leads then inside the den to discuss. Unbeknownst to them, Shupavu and Njano have reported their presence to Scar, who deems the news interesting. When Simba confesses that Scar has returned, the delegations are shocked and share glances with one another. Shortly afterward, Chifu gathers the Back Landers in Mirihi Forest, saying that there is urgent news and asking Bukali if she'd like to share what she has learned. She reveals that Scar has been revived, and Chifu adds that they will train for battle and help the Pride Landers. Okereke scoffs that the Pride Lands Lion Guard can handle this on their own, but Chifu scolds him, reminding him that they are allied with the Pride Landers and they will help them. When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, Chifu is one of the many animals gathered at the base of Pride Rock.
